The stars of "Urusei Yatsura", "Astro Boy", and "Galaxy Express 999" are cast in bronze

Three new life-size bronze statues of famous anime characters were unveiled at the Ōizumi-gakuen Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan: Lum from Urusei Yatsura, Tetsuro and Maetel from Galaxy Express 999, and Astro from Astro Boy.

The video shows Urusei Yatsura creator Rumiko Takahashi with the statue of Lum as well as Leiji Matsumoto revealing the statues of Tetsuro and Maetel from his creation, Galaxy Express 999.
