Genderless pear fairy struts its stuff in an exclusive fashion shoot for popular ladies' magazine
Japanese fashion has always been cutting edge, but is it ready for the debut of hyper-active, heavy metal enthusiast and unofficial mascot of Funabashi, Chiba, that is known as Funassyi?
That's right, the genderless pear fairy is gracing the cover of the May 2015 issue of Shogakukan's ladies' fashion magazine, AneCan.
How did this bizarre development come about? Apparently all it took to get the ball rolling (and the pear jumping) was for Funassyi to insist that: “I want to become an AneCan model-nassi.”
Dreams can come true for mascots, especially for ones that are too cool to look at explosions.
Check out this video for a behind the scenes look at the fashion shoot:
The May 2015 issue of AneCan goes on sale on April 07, 2015.
