Series kicks off on April 8 at 12:15pm Pacific Time
Crunchyroll has a new addition to its spring 2015 anime lineup that's just about ready to start. Wish Upon the Pleiades is set to broadcast every Wednesday starting today, April 8, at 12:15pm Pacific Time for premium members. Free members will be able to catch episodes one week after they debut.
Wish Upon the Pleiades will be available to audiences in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Originally a collaboration project between Japanese car manufacturer Subaru and animation studio Gainax of Evangelion fame, Wish Upon the Pleiades, known in Japan as Houkago no Pleiades, features a cast of magical girls who are helping an alien to recover fragments so that it can return home to the Pleiades.
Natsumi Takamori, whose other roles have included Misaki Kamiigusa in The Pet Girl of Sakurasou, stars as Subaru; Ayuru Ohashi, who also voiced Harigane Onigase in Medaka Box, plays Aoi; Kanako Tateno, who also voiced Shirayuki-hime in Fairy Musketeers, stars as Itsuki; Saki Fujita, perhaps best known for being the voice of the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku, plays Nanako; and Yui Makino, who was also Sakura in the Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE series, voices Hikaru.
