According to the latest Oricon report, the 77th volume of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga released on April 3 has topped the weekly comic sales ranking selling a massive 1,668,225 copies in its first week. It was about seven times more than the week's second top-selling manga, the 67th volume of Tite Kubo's Bleach. It has the highest weekly sales in 2015 (so far), breaking the previous record of 1,442,000 copies sold by the 76th volume of the manga in January. To date, the 76th volume has sold 3,024,000 copies in Japan.

As reported, the 77th volume has 3.8 million copies for its first print run, which dropped below the four million mark for the first time in four years since November 2011 when the 64th volume was released.
