TOHO Cinemas Plans "Lupin III Anime Night" Events

"Character special" theatrical screenings to commemorate new "Lupin III" TV series

 

To celebrate the new Lupin III TV series coming later in 2015, TOHO Cinemas in Shinjuku is planning a series of “character special” themed anime nights, featuring theatrical screenings of various Lupin III anime properties.

 

 

The first “character special” focuses on Fujiko Mine, and includes the following screenings:

 

April 22, 2015

  • “Master Thief vs Lady Looter” (The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Episode 01)

  • “The Two Faces of Lupin” (Series 2, Episode 16)

  • “Killer Sings the Blues” (Series 1, Episode 9)

 

May 1, 2015

  • “Hot Shot: This is Fujiko” (Series 2, Episode 110)

  • “Lupin, Who Killed Lupin” (Series 2, Episode 119)

  • “The Treasure of Mecca Wore a Veil” (Series 2, Episode 149)

 

 

May 8, 2015

  • “Feast of Fools” (The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Episode 11)

  • “The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Part 1” (The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Episode 12)

  • “The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Part 2” (The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Episode 13)

 

May 15, 2015

  • “Da Capo of Love: Fujiko's Unlucky Days” aka “The Columbus Files” (TV Special)

 

Each screening begins at 10PM JST. Tickets cost 1200 yen ($9.97 US) including tax. Viewers who attend all four events will be eligible to win special prizes.

 

 

Additional character specials are planned for later in the year:

  • The Goemon Ishikawa XIII & Inspector Zenigata Special is planned for June.

  • The Daisuke Jigen Special is planned for August.

  • The Lupin III Special is planned for October.
