Revered anime producers founded on this day in 1985
Studio Ghibli anniversaries don't seem to command a ton of notice. While Japanese social media will set new records when one of its movies is broadcast on TV, it hardly acknowledged that precursor and Nausicaä producer Studio Topcraft went bankrupt and dissolved in June 15, 1985, allowing Hayao Miyazaki, Toshio Suzuki and Isao Takahata to buy the studio and change its name to Studio Ghibli.
Still, there were some marking the occasion of the revered anime producer's 30th anniversary!
