"Pokémon" Courts Older Fans with New Magazine & Visa Credit Cards

"Pokémon Life" magazine goes on sale July 30 in Japan


The Pokémon franchise turns 20 this year, so its no surprise that the cross-media pop culture juggernaut is courting a grown-up audience with new products such as the Pokémon Life magazine. Published by Shogakukan, the magazine will feature loads information designed to appeal to adult Pokémon fans.



The inaugural issue of Pokémon Life hits Japanese news stands on July 30, 2015. It retails for 1200 yen ($9.71 US).



Additionally, Pokémon is teaming up with the Mitsui Sumitomo group to offer a line of Visa credit cards featuring three unique designs. The cards come in regular credit line and pre-paid versions.
