Yen Press Announces New Manga and Light Novel Plans at Anime Expo

Highlights include plans to release much-requested light novel series "My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected" and "Baccano!" in 2016

Highlights of Yen Press' Anime Expo announcements included plans to release much-requested light novel series My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected (and the manga) and Ryohgo Narita's (Durarara!!) Baccano! in 2016.



Manga titles included Barakamon spin-off Handa-kun, scheduled for a digital release in October; aphorism by Karuna kujo, Sekirei by Sakurako Goraku; Aoharu x Machinegun (inspiration for this season's anime); Corpse Princess by Yoshiichi Akahito by Nao which are scheduled for digital first releases starting in November; Renaissance Eve by Shamu Itou in December along with with Black Detective by Yen Hioka, Saki by Ritz, Crimson Prince by Souta Kuwahara, Demonizer Zilch by Milan Matra and the How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend manga.


Square Enix titles that will be moving to digital simul-publication include:

  • Black Butler
  • Demon King Ena-sama Goes to a Manga School
  • Handa-kun
  • Kake Gurui 
  • My Monster Girl's Too Cool for You 
  • The Royal Tutor
  • Today’s Kerberos


Spin-off news includes plans for Log Horizon manga West Wind Brigade, Sword Art Online manga Phantom Bullet and Mother's Rosario - all for 2016, and the Another episode S (spin-off novel) + Episode 0 (manga) planned for an omnibus hardcover.
