VIDEO: First "Osomatsu-kun" Anime Preview Posted

1962-69 manga was previously adapted into 1966 and 1988 anime series

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the birthday of "Gag Manga King" Fujio Akatsuka (1935-2008), a new TV anime adaptation of Osomatsu-kun has been announced. The 1962-69 manga, which preceded Akatsuka's popular Tensai Bakabon, was previously adapted into 1966 and 1988 anime series.

Gintama's Yoichi Fujita will be directing the Studio Pierrot production with Saint Young Men's Naoyuki Asano handling character designs. Takahiro Sakurai voices a grown-up take on the titular trouble-making sextuplets.

Cast includes Takahiro Sakurai, Yuichi Nakamura, Hiroshi Kamiya, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono and Miyu Irino as the now grown-up sextuplets and Aya Endo as the series' heroine and childhood crush of the boys.
