English Version of "Attack on Titan" Tops 2.5 Million Copies in Print

Series above 50 million in Japan

The Attack on Titan manga has topped 50 million copies sold in Japan. In North America, volume one has spent over 100 weeks on the New York Times' manga bestsellers list, and that's contributed to a very respectable 2.5 million print run of the English-language edition of Hajime Isayama's hit series.

Japanese press notes that while the 2.5 million figure for the series' 15 English volumes (16 is out August 25th) may be small in comparison to Japan's titanic quantities, the U.S. comic market is less than one-fifth the size of Japan's.
