Cross-Stitch MOOK Recreates Osamu Tezuka Characters in Embroidery

Magazine-book from Tatsumi Publishing includes 120 patterns


Needlecraft enthusiasts and fans of the works of Osamu Tezuka can embark on some fun new projects thanks to the Osamu Tezuka Character Cross-Stitch Book, a mook ("magazine book") published in Japan by Tatsumi Publishing.



The 50 page mook contains 120 cross-stitch patterns for recreating Osamu Tezuka's many beloved characters (from such manga and anime as Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, and Black Jack) in embroidery. The mook was written by Makoto Ozu, a Japanese designer and cross-stitch artist.



The Osamu Tezuka Character Cross-Stitch Book retails for 1512 yen ($12.20 US) and is available from online booksellers such as Amazon Japan.
