"Ghost in the Shell: The Movie" Headed to Japanese Home Video in October

Special edition Bluray release, regular edition DVD release planned

 

Ghost in the Shell: The Movie, the latest theatrical adaptation of Masamune Shirow's Ghost in the Shell manga and anime, is coming to Japanese home video on Bluray and DVD on October 28, 2015, courtesy of Bandai Visual.

 

 

The DVD release includes extras such as commercial spots, trailers, and a promotion video.

 

The Bluray release contains these extras plus an audio commentary and another disc of bonus video materials including footage from the Ghost in the Shell All Night event in June which gathered directors Kenji Kamiyama, Mamoru Oshii, Kazuchika Kise, and Kazuya Nomura as well as screenwriter Tow Ubukata and producer Mitsuhisa Ishikawa together to talk about their experiences adapting Ghost in the Shell.

 

 

The DVD retails for 7800 yen ($62.83 US) plus tax, while the limited edition Bluray retails for 9800 yen ($78.94 US) plus tax.
