Is the World Ready for Ramen-Flavored Ice Cream?

CupNoodles Museum in Yokohama will sell ramen-themed soft serve frozen treat beginning August 11

To celebrate the admission of more than 4 million visitors since its opening in 2011, the CupNoodles Museum in Yokohama will be selling two varieties of ramen-flavored soft serve ice cream beginning August 11, 2015.

The CupNoodles Museum in Yokohama is 1 of 2 museums celebrating the life and inventions of Momofuku Ando, the inventor of instant ramen and the founder of Nissin Food Products. The other museum is the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum in Ikeda. For more information about the CupNoodles Museum, check out its official English language home page here.

The ice cream comes in 2 flavors: soy sauce and curry. Servings include such ramen-themed toppings as diced mince, shrimp, green onions, leeks, eggs, potatoes, and carrots. Each serving of ramen ice cream comes in a Cup Noodle cup and sells for 300 yen ($2.40 US).

What do you think? Would you give it a try?
