6th annual exhibition showcases artwork inspired by "Ultraman" & other works
The 6th annual "Tsuburaya Productions Creative Jam 50" art exhibition is coming to Tokyo, featuring artwork and limited character goods inspired by the tokusatsu works of Tsuburaya Productions, such as Ultraman and Ultra Q.
In addition to displaying works from various artists, the venue also doubles as storefront for the artists to sell their wares. Some examples of the artwork on-display and for sale include:
Lacquer Hyper Soft Vinyl Ultraman, by ALL JAPAN PROJECT. This piece sells for 864,000 yen ($6946.71 US) including tax.
This Isn't King Joe by Crayfish Works and Big Ultra Uamou by UAMOU. The former sells for 3780 yen ($30.39 US) including tax, while the latter sells for 18,000 yen ($144.72 US) including tax.
Frilled Monster Jirass Etoya Production Hall Ver. (Black Phase) by MONSTOCK!!. This vinyl statue sells for 13,800 yen ($110.95 US) including tax.
The "Tsuburaya Productions Creative Jam 50" runs from August 22 to August 30, 2015, at the Tokyo's Tokyo store in Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan. Admission is free to the public. For more information, please check out the official Japanese blog here.
