The manga series has had a total of 13million copies in print
The production of the sequel to the anime adaptations of Yu Sasuga and Kenichi Tachibana's popular sci-fi action manga series Terra Formars is officially confirmed. The news is announced on the wrap-around band for the manga's latest 14th volume published in Japan today on August 19. Also according to the band, the manga series has had a total of 13 million copies in print.
The manga's "Bugs 2" arc was adapted into two-part OVA, and they were bundled with the 10th and 11th tankobon volumes respectively, released in August and November 2014. A 13-episode TV anime based on the "Annex 1" arc was aired in Japan from September to December 2014. Both were animated by Liden Films. How and when the new anime series is distributed will be announced later.
