Manga Author Kazuo Koike to Lecture at National Art Center in Tokyo

Creator of "Lone Wolf and Cub" and "Crying Freeman" to speak on the future of digital manga

Crunchyroll previously reported about the "Manga * Anime * Games from Japan" art exhibition currently running at the National Art Center in Roppongi, Tokyo, Japan. Now an interesting new development has arisen: on August 21, 2015, legendary manga author Kazuo Koike will be delivering a lecture at the event.

Koike is responsible for writing such works as Crying Freeman, Lone Wolf and Cub, and Mad Bull 34. He has also trained numerous other manga authors with his college-level Gekika Sonjuku course. At the "Manga * Anime * Games from Japan" exhibition, Koike plans to focus his talk on the future of manga in the digital medium.

Koike's lecture is entitled "Digital Comics: The Next Generation of Manga - A Pressing Proposal to the Status Quo" and is scheduled to run from 6:00 - 7:30 PM JST. No special reservations are required for the lecture, although visitors must first purchase a ticket to the "Manga * Anime * Games from Japan" exhibition in order to attend.
