Yuzu Member Yuzin Kitagawa Provides Theme Song for "One Piece" Kabuki

Play will be performed 78 times at Shinbashi Enbujo in Tokyo

Yujin Kitagawa, a 38-year-old-member of two-member Japanese folk duo Yuzu, will provide the theme song for the upcoming kabuki adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's internationally popular manga One Piece starring Ennosuke Ichikawa IV as Monkey D. Luffy, Boa Hancock and Shanks. The two have been having a relationship and looking for an interesting project to collaborate. The song's title and other details will be announced later. The folk duo has performed theme songs for Doraemon, Hunter x Hunter and Crayon Shin-chan


The "Super Kabuki II One Piece" will cover the Battle for Marineford/War of the Best arc, which were told in the 51st to 60th volume of Oda's original manga story. It is scheduled to be performed 78 times at Shinbashi Enbujo in Tokyo from October 7 to November 25.
