Sanrio's Salmon-Headed Mascot Kirimi-chan Gets an Anthropomorphic Make-Over
New designs will be used in animation, smart phone games, character goods

Kirimi-chan, a mascot character created by Sanrio with a salmon fillet for a head, is going to receive an anthropomorphic make-over in the near future according to information released at the Sanrio Expo 2015.
In addition to characters goods, the new designs for Kirimi-chan and Sanrio's other meat-headed mascots are planned to be used in animation projects and smart phone games, as well as a collaboration with Monster Hunter. The voice actors of Kirimi-chan's friends have also been announced. A total of 5 additional characters will be personified:
- Takuma Terashima as Saba-kun.
- Daiki Yamashita as Sasamin.
- Takuya Satou as Same-senpai.
- Nobunaga Shimazaki as Tai-kun.
- And Kenjiro Tsuda as Chateaubriand.
The Kirimi-chan character debuted in 2014 after winning a general election against various other food-based characters. Voice actor Tsubasa Yonaga provides the voice for the character.
