Daisuke Ono and Maaya Sakamoto to reprise their roles in upcoming film
The official Twitter account for the anime version of Yana Toboso's supernatural manga Black Butler has announced that a new anime film for the series is in production.
"Breaking News: Black Butler will finally be made into a theatrical animation. Please stand by for further announcements!"
There is also an official Japanese home page for the new movie project which confirms that Maaya Sakamoto will reprise her role as Ciel Phantomhive and Daisuke Ono will reprise his role as the demonic butler Sebastian Michaelis.
Black Butler has already inspired three anime TV series and an OAV series (all of which were animated by A-1 Pictures) as well as a live-action movie distributed by Warner Bros. Japan. The Black Butler anime is licensed for distribution in North America by Funimation, while the Black Butler manga is released in the English language by Yen Press.
