Drama / romance manga by Matcha Hazuki was adapted into a TV anime in 2014
The November issue of Square Enix's Gangan Joker manga magazine is announcing that Matcha Hazuki's drama / romance manga, One Week Friends, is being adapted into a live-action movie. No further details, such as a director or a release date, are currently available.
One Week Friends follows the story of Yuki Hase and Kaori Fujimiya, a pair of high school students. Yuki wishes to be friends with the withdrawn and reclusive Kaori, only to discover that she suffers from short-term memory loss as a result of an automobile accident. Since Kaori cannot remember her friends from week-to-week, Yuki vows to befriend her anew each week.
The One Week Friends manga was adapted into a TV anime in 2014 with direction by Tarou Iwasaki and animation by Brain's Base. The anime is available for streaming on Crunchyroll here.
