The official website for the upcoming 20th Detective Conan film launched today, posting its main visuals and a mysterious "Black" edition 30-second teaser introducing the members of the Black Organization: Gin, Vodka, Vermouth, Canti, Korn, Kir, Bourbon, and Rum who is a close adviser of the boss of the organization and has never appeared even in the original manga story.
The secret syndicate is the main antagonist in the series and is responsible for Shinichi Kudo's transformation to Conan. The video suggests that the story features a full confrontation with the organization and that the title of the film includes a word "Black." The 20th film is set for a release in Japan on April 16, 2016, distributed by Toho.
The previous 19th film Sunflowers of Inferno was released in Japan on April 18, 2015. Thanks to the guest appearance by the author's another popular character Kaito Kid, it earned a robust 4.47
billion yen from its total domestic run and became the top-grossing film in the anime franchise.
