Author of Famous Doujinshi Wishes "V for Vendetta" Author Alan Moore a Happy Birthday

Noted British comic writer turns 62

Back in 2009, manga artist Ryusuke "Ryu Moto" Hamamoto (Ultimate Girls, Petit Eva: [email protected]) gained English internet noterity with a doujinshi celebrating the schoolgirl life of acclaimed British comic author Alan Moore (Watchmen, V for Vendetta). Well, the old warlock is turning 62 years old today and Ryu Moto sends his best wishes.

He also recently contribute to Marvel Comics' month of manga variant covers


Back in 2007, Ryu Moto developed an English comic series called Compass with C.B. Cebulski and Akihide Yanagi at Image. In 2011, he worked with commedian Jimmy Carr on a school shooting comic strip for Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar's anthology CLiNT.  


Ryu Moto's actually wasn't the only Alan Moore inspired doujinshi to hit Japan.
