Nobuo Uematsu Headlines 4th Annual "Fantasy Rock Festival" in Tokyo

Event celebrating music of anime and video games takes place on November 29, 2015


Nobuo Uematsu and his band Earthbound Papas will be headlining the 4th annual "Fantasy Rock Festival", which takes place on November 29, 2015, at the Shinagawa Inner City Hall in Minato, Tokyo, Japan, beginning at 4:00PM JST.

 

The concert celebrates the music of fantastical video games and anime, and this year's line-up includes such musical guests as Uematsu, ROLLY & GlimRockers, Hideki Sakamoto (TEKARU), the Fantasy Rock Orchestra, and idol group Atlantis Castle.

 

 

Uematsu and Earthbound Papas will be performing the following songs:

 

  • "TERRA BATTLE (Main Theme)" from Terra Battle
  • "Man with the Machine Gun" from Final Fantasy VIII
  • "Seymour Battle" from Final Fantasy X
  • "Hunter Chance" from Final Fantasy IX
  • "Madō-shi Kefka" ("Kefka the Sorcerer") from Final Fantasy VI
  • "Aerith's Theme" from Final Fantasy VII
  • "J-E-N-O-V-A" from Final Fantasy VII
  • "Big Bridge no Shitō" ("Death-Battle on the Big Bridge") from Final Fantasy V
  • "Otherworld" from Final Fantasy X
  • "Maybe I'm a Lion" from Final Fantasy VIII

 

In addition to the musical acts, a live-talk event with Nobuo Uematsu and Mamoru Nagano (the author of the Five Star Stories manga) is also planned.

 

 

Tickets to the 4th annual "Fantasy Rock Festival" cost 7500 yen ($60.76 US) in advance and 8000 yen ($64.81 US) at the door on the day of the performance. For more information, please check out the official Japanese home page here.
