A total print of the four tankobon volumes has reached one million
Square Enix's web manga site GanGan Online today announced that a TV anime adaptation of Nozomi Uda's Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge (Tanaka-kun is Always Idly) web manga is in the works. It has been serialized biweekly in the site since July 2013, and its latest 5th tankobon volume will be available this Saturday, November 21, simultaneously with a fanbook "Official Tanakabook" which contains a never-released episode and the author's interview. A total print of the previous four volumes has reportedly reached one million copies in Japan.
The story centers on a male student Tanaka who is always idly and sleepy, with his classmates who can't leave him alone. The TV anime's premiere schedule, production staff and voice cast have not yet been confirmed.
