"Unhappy Go Lucky" TV Anime Scheduled for Spring of 2016

Silver Link animates TV adaptation of comic manga by Cotoji


According to the January 2016 issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward seinen manga magazine which will be published in Japan on November 24, 2015, the TV anime adaptation of Unhappy Go Lucky (aka Unhappy, aka Anne Happy), based on the humorous manga of the same name by Cotoji, is scheduled to debut in the Spring of 2016.



The adaptation was originally announced back in July of 2015. Unhappy Go Lucky will be directed by Shin Ōnuma, with series composition by Hitoshi Tanaka and character designs by Miwa Oshima. Oshima will also serve as the chief animation director, and Silver Link will provide the animation.



The original manga is serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward manga magazine, and also licensed for an English language release by Yen Press. Yen Press describes the manga as follows:


"Tennogofune Academy’s class 1-7 sure is unlucky. But brighter fortunes may be on the way when Hibari, Hanako, and Botan decide to make the most out of their everyday school lives!"
