"Kuromukuro" Anime Announced for 2016

Project will be a collaboration between Tensai Okamura and P.A. Works

A new animation project entitled Kurumukuro has been announced for 2016, and it will be a collaboration between director / animator Tensai Okamura (Blue ExorcistThe Seven Deadly Sins,) and animation studio P.A. Works (Shirobako, Charlotte).

Aside from the work's title, details are currently scarce. The official home page (available here) features the announcement against a black background, with the promise that the anime will "pay an unexpected visit" in 2016. There is also an official Twitter feed (@KUROMUKURO_UNKL) for the project.

Kuromukuro is described as a project celebrating the 15th anniversary of P.A. Works. The title is written in Katakana, but "kuro" could refer to the Kanji character for "black" and "mukuro" could mean "dead body". "Mukuro" can also be a name for a woman.
