Tickets go on sale December 18th with Eiichiro Oda illustrated clear file
With promotion going into high gear this weekend, a new teaser has been posted for summer's One Piece Gold anime movie. Advance tickets for the feature go on sale this weekend with a bonus clearfile by creator Eiichiro Oda featuring Luffy as mythical hero "Golden Boy" hero Kintaro.
The 13th film is slated for a Japanese release on July 23, 2016. Again, the original manga creator Eiichiro Oda serves as executive producer. Hiroaki Miyamoto, who worked as the third series director of the One Piece TV anime (352nd to 679th episodes), attaches to direct, and it will be his feature film directorial debut. Japanese novelist Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who has mainly worked for live-action TV drama and films, including the live-action film adaptation of Black Butler in 2014, provides a script, and it will be his first anime-related work.
And of course, all of the main voice cast: Mayumi Tanaka (Luffy), Kazuya Nakai (Zoro), Akemi Okamura (Nami), Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp), Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji), Ikue Otani (Chopper), Yuriko Yamaguchi (Nico), Kazuki Yao (Franky), and Cho (Brook) are officially listed.
The last 12th film One Piece Film Z was released three years ago, on December 15, 2012, which earned a massive 6.87 billion yen from its total domestic run and became the top-grossing film in the anime franchise.
