"Muv-Luv Alternative" spin-off premieres on January 10 at 10:35am Pacific Time
Crunchyroll announced the addition of Schwarzes Marken to its winter 2016 anime simulcast lineup today. The Muv-Luv Alternative spin-off is set to premiere on January 10 at 10:35am Pacific Time, with new episodes debuting every Sunday.
Schwarzes Marken will be available to Crunchyroll members worldwide except for Asia.
In 1983, the East German Army 666th TSF Squadron, “Schwarzes marken,” is a special-response force tasked with assaulting BETA forces. They specifically target Laser and Heavy Laser class BETA to disable their enemy’s immense firepower. This merciless team’s orders are given the highest priority, and they follow them so exactly that the 666th is known to ignore allied distress calls that would interfere with an ongoing mission, even if only for a moment.
Schwarzes Marken comes from CGI director of Persona 4: The Animation and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Tetsuya Watanabe. The cast includes Kenichi Suzumura (Momotaro Mikoshiba in Free! Eternal Summer) as Theodor Eberbach, Minami Tanaka (Hana N. Fountainstand in HaNaYaMaTa) as Katia Waldheim, Yoshino Nanjou (Kanako Sasa in Hourou Musuko Wandering Son) as Liz Hohenstein, and Nozomi Yamamoto (Nosuri in Utawarerumono The False Faces) as Irisdina Bernhard.
