After teasing a Saber focused event earlier in the week, smartphone game Fate/grand order has now announced hostiles commence in "Saber Wars" on January 20th.  Series co-creator Nasu Kinoko writes the story for the event in which mysterious aliens appear in Chaldea Gate and interfere with the Grail War. Saber Lily will feature into the story, which sees the more feminine Saber trained by her fellow swords-people to master Caliburn. 

By participating in this "Saber Wars ~Lily's Cosmic Warrior Training~" and collecting certain event items, it's possible to acquire 4★ (SR) Servant 「Artoria Pendragon (Lily)」.

Lily was previously offered as a pre-registration bonus.

So far, the game's roster of Sabers includes...

Saber Lily - Artoria Pendragon, originally an alternate costume from Fate/unlimited codes  designed Takashi Takeuchi  with "emphasis on her girlishness"  and inspired by the dress Caster placed on Saber after she was captured during Unlimited Blade Works. Nasu Kinoko and Gen Urobuchi joked about her being a version of Saber fully tamed by Caster during a discussion.  She wields Caliburn rather than Excalibur.
