"Kizumonogatari Part 1" Has Earned 600 Million Yen in Three Weeks

5th and 6th week audience will receive a postcard drawn by Akio Watanabe

Despite of its relatively small release with 108 theaters, "Tekketsu-hen," the first part of the three-part anime film adaptation of Nisio Isin's Kizumonogatari novel, still ranked 9th in its third weekend box office of January 23-24. And it is also confirmed that the film has earned over 600 million yen on 450,000 admissions in Japan. The 60-minute film was released in Japan on January 8, and ranked 3rd with 177,058,000 yen from 131,973 ticket sales in its first weekend of January 9-10.

The film's official website has announced that moviegoers of the upcoming 5th (February 6-) and 6th (February 13-) week will receive a special postcard illustrated by the character designer Akio Watanabe. The 5th week's postcard has a kiss scene and the 6th's features a newly-drawn illustration of Meme Oshino. Both arts will be revealed on the site shortly.
