"Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" Novel Wins Book Walker Grand Prix Award 2015

Okayado's "Monster Musume" gets the Media Mix award

Book Walker, one of the largest Japanese digital bookstores, today announced the winners of its "2015 Award of Book Walker" which were chosen from the best-selling digital books of the top 20 publishers, 10 recommended books by the store and five independent books released in 2015. The Grand Prix Award winner chosen by the readers poll from the 35 candidate books is Fujino Omori's fantasy light novel series Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? published from SB Creative's GA Bunko imprint. The novel's first volume was published in January 2013, and a total print run of the series in Japan has reached 4 million copies.

 

To celebrate the award, Book Walker's digital edition of the novel's upcoming 10th volume to be released on May 16 will come with a newly-written short story as a time-limited bonus. And the main couple of the story will be chosen by the readers' online vote from 13 choices from Bell and Aiz to Asfi and Hermes. The voting period will be between February 4 and 17.
