Kiri Wazawa's Yoaki Comedy Manga "Fukigen na Mononokean" Gets TV Anime Adaptation

Five tankobon volumes are available in Japan

It is officially announced today that a TV anime adaptation of Kiri Wazawa's comedy web manga series Fukigen na Mononokean (The Morose Mononokean) is in the works. Its official website also opens with a teaser visual featuring its three main characters: Hanae Ashiya, Itsuki Abenoharu and Yokai Mojyamojya.


The manga has been serialized on Square Enix's free manga aite GanGan Online since September 2013, and currently five tankobon volumes are available in Japan. It has also been available on Crunchyroll since last July.


Story description for the volume one: Fukigen na Mononokean - The duty of the morose guide who leads mononoke from one world to the next. Ashiya has spent the first seven days of high school stuck in the infirmary because of a yokai attaching itself to him. He ends up asking the owner of a small tea

room called the "Mononokean" for help. This is volume 1 of the mysterious stories involving the very morose

owner of Mononokean guiding the yokai that happened to wander into this world go to the next world.
