30th anniversary show will run across Japan this summer
The official website for "Dragon Quest Live Spectacle Tour," the upcoming live stage show adaptation of Square Enix's internationally popular game franchise Dragon Quest has announced that 30-year-old otaku idol/singer/actress Shoko Nakagawa, aka Shokotan, is cast as Princess Alena.
The character was originally appeared in the franchises' 4th game Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen released for the Famicom in February 1990, and Nakagawa previously voiced the character in the PS3/4 game Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below released in February 2015.
"Dragon Quest Live Spectacle Tour" will be performed in Saitama (July 22-31), Fukuoka (August 5-7), Aichi (August 12-14), Osaka (August 18-22), and Kanagawa (August 26-31). General sales of its advance tickets will begin on April 23.
