"Shonen Jump" Looks Ahead To New "Boruto" Manga

One-shot and monthly manga planned

Back at December's Jump Festa event, plans were announced for an upcoming, spring Boruto one-shot manga series featuring Naruto and Hinata's son Boruto Uzumaki by series creator Masashi Kishimoto. Then, Shonen Jump will carry a monthly manga written by game designer/novelist Ukyo Kodachi (A's Magic Squareadaptations of Macross Frontier and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE) and illustrated by Kishimoto assistant Mikio Ikemoto. An early look at next week's Jump captures some hype for the upcoming manga.

Viz then confirmed that the special one-shot and new monthly series will run simultaneously in the English language version of Shonen Jump.

The notice hypes volume 24 of the Konoha Hyakuyoubako edition of the manga, out on March 11th, and promises a new heroic tale in a new world of ninja, with Kishimoto at the center of a great creative team.
