Witness the Softer Side of "The Grudge" via Instagram Promotion
"Kayako and Toshio's Heart-Warming Parent-Child Diary" leads into release of "Sadako vs. Kayako"

Kayako and Toshio - the pale-skinned, vengeful yurei from the Ju-On and The Grudge horror films - are using Instagram to show the public a side of their daily lives that few have witnessed in a humorous promotional campaign leading up to the Japanese theatrical release of Sadako vs. Kayako.

The Instagram account (available here), entitled "Kayako and Toshio's Heart-Warming Parent-Child Diary", features photos of ghost-mother and ghost-child engaged in all manner of ordinary activities, such as cooking, cleaning, and visiting the park.

Of course, the recurring gag is that all of the photos are tagged with あ゛あ゛あ゛あ゛あ゛, representing the horrifying croaking noise that Kayako makes in the Ju-On and The Grudge films.

Sadako vs. Kayako hits Japanese theaters on June 18, 2016.
