"Ghost in the Shell Realize Project" Displays 1/2 Scale Tachikoma at Nico Nico Super Conference 2016

Although the final product is not yet complete, a mock-up of the exterior shell was exhibited

Work continues on the project by Amauchi Industry and karakuri products to reproduce the Tachikomas from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex as 1/2 scale industrial robots, and a mock-up of the exterior shell of the Tachikoma was recently on display at the Nico Nico Super Conference 2016.

The final robot is not completed yet, but the "outer shell study model" was available for viewing at the Nico Nico Super Conference, which ran from April 29 to April 30, 2016, at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Mihama Ward, Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan.

Additionally, the 1/2 scale Tachikoma will be on display at the Production I.G store in Tokyo from May 01 to May 08, 2016, where it will be positioned next to its cousin, a 1/2 scale model of the Logicoma robot from Ghost in the Shell: Arise which is a permanent fixture at the store.

If that's not enough Tachikoma in your life, the Production I.G store will also be selling a Tachikoma-themed "TACHIKOMA GT" guitar, which retails for the low, low price of 700,000 yen ($6581.73 US) plus tax. Imagine jamming out on that!
