Tsutomu Nihei, the author of BLAME! and Knights of Sidonia, has published a new one-shot science fiction manga entitled Ningyou no Kuni ("Country of the Dolls"), which appears in the pages of the 23rd issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine seinen manga anthology published on May 09, 2016.

Set on a frozen planet littered with alien artifacts, Ningyou no Kuni weaves a tale of a young man and small but fateful encounter. Ningyou no Kuni marks the first time Tsutomu Nihei has published a work in Weekly Young Magazine in over a decade, the last one being BIOMEGA, which began publication in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine before moving to Shueisha's Ultra Jump.
