"Detective Conan: Pure Black Nightmare" Becomes Top-Grossing Film in Anime Franchise

The 20-film series has earned 60 billion yen in total

It is confirmed today that the 20th Detective Conan film, Meitantei Conan: Jyunkoku no Nightmare/Detective Conan: Pure Black Nightmare has earned an impressive 5.057 billion yen on 3,982,700 admissions only in 23 days since its release in Japan on April 16, already becoming the top-grossing film in the anime franchise. The previous record was 4.48 billion yen marked by the 19th film Sunflowers of Inferno released last April. The total domestic gross of the 20 Conan films has reached an amazing 60 billion yen.
