Martial Arts Action Explodes in Latest "Taboo Tattoo" PV

Tomokazu Sugita joins the cast of TV anime adaptation that premieres on July 04, 2016

A new trailer is now available online for Taboo Tattoo, an upcoming TV anime based on the super-powered action manga by Shinjirō. The story of Taboo Tattoo involves Masayoshi "Seigi" Akatsuka, a young man who comes into possession of a mysterious cursed brand after rescuing a homeless man from danger.

Additionally, Tomokazu Sugita will be joining the cast of Taboo Tattoo. Sugita will play the character of Tom Shredfield, aka "Tom".

Tom is a young man who acts in concert with Izzy. He's described as an otaku with an intense love for moe characters.

The original Taboo Tattoo manga is serialized in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive seinen manga anthology magazine. The TV anime adaptation is directed by Takashi Watanabe and features animation by J.C. Staff. An English language version of the manga is published by Yen Press, who describe Taboo Tattoo as follows:

"By all accounts, middle schooler Seigi is pretty unremarkable except for his martial arts prowess and a desire to protect the weak. But when his good intentions are put to the test by saving an old homeless man from some street thugs, the mysterious man shows his gratitude by...burning a tattoo onto Seigi's palm?!

It turns out, the tattoo is a powerful secret weapon that everyone--including a formidable girl with a tattoo of her own--is after. With his life on the line and his martial arts skills alone no match against super-powered foes, will Seigi be able to unlock the latent potential of his tattoo and live to fight another day?!"

The Taboo Tattoo TV anime begins its Japanese broadcast on TV Tokyo on July 04, 2016, with later airings following on AT-X and BS Japan.
