Live-Action "Tokyo Ghoul" Adds Cast

Manga adaptation planned for summer 2017

The summer 2017 live-action adaptation of Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul has announced the additions of Yu Aoi (Sonoshee McLaren in Redline, Shiro in TekkonKinkreet, roles in live-action Kenshin, Tetsujin28 and Honey & Clover) as Rize Kamishiro, Nobuyuki Suzuki (EXILE) as Kōtarō Amon and Yo Oizumi (Professor Layton) as Kureo Mado. 

 

They join 27-year-old Masataka Kubota as the protagonist Ken Kaneki and 21-year-old Fumika Shimizu as the main heroine Touka Kirishima.


Kentaro Hagiwara is attached to direct. This is his first feature after mainly working on music videos and TV commercials. Shooting is scheduled to wrap up in September.
