Takanori Nishikawa (T.M. Revolution) serves as the general producer of the project
According to the latest Oricon sales report, the perfect first press limited edition of the first DVD volume of the ongoing TV anime B-PROJECT (B-Project -Kodou*Ambitious-), released on August 31, sold about 8,000 units in its first week, becoming the top-selling anime DVD of the week. This is the first time for a July-premiered TV anime to take the first place in the ranking.
One of the main reasons for the big sales is that the 6,246-yen edition comes with an advance entry coupon for the special live event to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba on November 20. The second disc set to be released on September 28 will also include the coupon again, so the same level of sales is expected to be maintained.
The disc ranked 3rd in the overall DVD sales ranking. The top-selling DVD in the overall ranking of the week was five-member boys idol group Arashi's 21st live DVD "ARASHI LIVE TOUR 2015 Japonism"
selling 19,000 units.
The TV anime is based on the virtual idol project featuring fictional male characters designed by Utako
Yukihiro (Uta no Prince-sama manga illustrator). 45-year-old J-Pop singer Takanori Nishikawa, who has
performed as T.M.Revolution, co-produces the project with Chiyomaru Shikura (Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes).
The A-1 Pictures-animated series premiered in Japan on July 2, and is now available to Crunchyroll members
in United States and Canada.
