Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2016 Display Looks Ahead To New "Blue Exorcist" TV Anime

2017 project adapts Kyoto Impure King Arc

In 2017, a new Blue Exorcist TV anime will be adapting Kyoto Impure King Arc of Kazue Kato's Jump SQ supernatural action manga. Appropriate to the setting, the project is being promoted at this weekend's Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2016 with a display, plus Capital Candy sets.

While A-1 Pictures remains the studio in charge of the new anime, Deadman Wonderland's Koichi Hatsumi will direct instead of the 2011 series' Tensai Okamura.

Toshiya Ono (Perfect InsiderGatchaman Crowds) and Ryota Yamaguchi are on writing compositing.

The cast remains unchanged.

A stage event about the show is also planned for the event.
