Studio Ghibli Director Isao Takahata Lectures at Hijiyama University

2.5 hour lecture about the influence of classical Japanese paintings in manga & anime is open to the general public

Film director and Studio Ghibli co-founder Isao Takahata will be providing a free lecture about the influence of classical Japanese painting in manga and anime at Hijiyama University in Higashi Ward, Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, on December 11, 2016.

 

 

The lecture will take place from 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM JST in the Multipurpose Hall on the 5th floor of Building 10 at Hijiyama University. The lecture is free to attend, but seating is limited to 300 people on a first-come, first-serve basis. Takahata will also be available for an autograph session after the lecture's conclusion.
