Cat Cafe Dresses up Its Employees in Adorable Costumes

Cosplaying cats model as characters from Studio Ghibli.

Cat cafes are gaining popularity all over the world, and it's easy to see why. Take Nekoya in Tokyo, for example. Visitors can pay 1,000 yen for an hour (200 for every 15 minutes after) to spend time with the cafe's seventeen cats in a giant playroom, avail themselves of 100-yen beverages, and settle in with everything from a manga library to massage chairs.

And when the holidays come, the cats get involved, too -- they went full Ghibli this past Halloween, and their Twitter @nekoyacafe has the photos to prove it.

Check out a few of these costumes from My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away:

These cosplaying kitties dress up all year 'round, though. Follow @nekoyacafe to see all the pictures as they come out, and to find out more about the cafe. Though it might tempt you to take a trip to Tokyo...
