Euphonium, next season's Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid) recently released Manzai Sen ka! - written by Aji Miyaku and illustrated by namo. And now it's time for their next new title. Coming December 26th, the imprint will debut Kyoto Animation Awards judge's special recognition recipient TSURU-NE [Kazemai High School Japanese Archery Club], by Koroko Ayano, and illustrated by Chinatsu Morimoto.

From Fencer X

“I want to make a beautiful sound with my bowstring.”

Narumiya Minato was a member of his middle school Japanese archery club. After being selected to participate in the team match, he progressed through to the Prefectural Finals, but after something happened to him, his team lost their final middle school match… After that, Minato decided to never draw his bow again and practically fled to his local high school, Kazemai High.

There, Minato is invited to join the archery club by fellow students Takehaya Seiya and Yamanouchi Ryouhei, his childhood friends, but he turns them down and goes home alone. Afterward, to clear his head, he goes out for a bike ride and wanders by chance into the ‘Yata no Mori Archery Range’ where he meets the master archer Takigawa Masaki, aka Masa-san.

Despite having told Seiya, “I’m never doing archery again!” Minato starts to spend time at the Yata no Mori range, awakening to feelings of wanting to draw again. ‘I want to draw again. I want to make that beautiful sound with my bowstring again!’

Minato resolves to face the thing that caused him to withdraw from archery and stand once more before the target.

Waiting for him in the Kazemai High Archery Club are of course Seiya and Ryouhei, but also Onogi Kaito, who reviles Minato, and the sparkling prince Kisaragi Nanao. Minato will aim for the Prefectural Championship with these friends.
