Now, Amazon Prime has launched its first branded channel. Called “Anime Stike”, it is available for $4.99 after a one-week trial package. Membership to Amazon Prime ($99 a year) is required.
Catalog titles such as the Satoshi Kon movie Paprika have also been mentioned. Plans include same-day-as-broadcast series from Japan coverage of new series. Amazon also says content on the channel will be refreshed weekly.
Currently, Anime Strike is available only to Amazon Prime members in the U.S. It will be joined by other branded subscription VOD channels in the future.
