New season is set to premiere on MBS and Wowow in the coming April
The official website for the new TV anime adaptation project based on Kentaro Miura's dark fantasy manga Berserk announced today that four-member Japanese rock band 9mm Parabellum Bullet provides their newly-written song "Sacrifice" as the OP theme song for its upcoming second season. The band's 8th single song "Inferno" was used as the OP song for the first season aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2016.
And the second season's ED song "Issai wa Monogatari" (Everything is a Story) is co-performed by 29-year-old singer-songwriter Nagi Yanagi, who provided the ED song "Meimoku no Kanata" for the first season, and 32-year-old voice actress Yoshino Nanjo who is newly cast as Sonia in the new season.
The highly anticipated second season is set to premiere on MBS' Animeism programming block and the
satellite station Wowow in the coming April. Prior to the premiere, Wowow will air a special program hosted
by the voice cast members to introduce the digest of the first season at 22:30 on March 3 (JST).
