Meet Fintan, the Mascot Character Representing Finland to Japan

Saori Hayami voices character in short animation celebrating centennial anniversary of Finland's independence

The Embassy of Finland in Tokyo has an official moe character mascot named Fintan, and now Fintan is starring in his own short form 3DCG web anime (with English subtitles) as part of the centennial celebrations of Finland's independence from Russia.

 

 

In the video, Fintan participates in some of Finland's unique cultural events, such as the "The Annual Air Guitar World Championship Contest", which is part of the annual Oulu Music Video Festival in Oulu, Finland. The short web anime features Saori Hayami as the voice of Fintan. It is directed by Kenji Itoso and features animation by KENJI STUDIO/KANNA JAPAN.
