Yuichi Fukuda (Hentai Kamen)-directed film will open in Japan on July 14
As the last addition to its cast visual announcements, the official website for the live-action film adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi's action comedy manga Gintama today finally revealed the three main members of Shinsengumi: Kankuro Nakamura VI as its commander Isao Kondo, Yuya Yagira (26) as vice commander Toushiro Hijikata, and Ryo Yoshizawa as 1st division captain Sougo Okita.
35-year-old Nakamura's real name is Masayuki Namino. He was born as the eldest son of kabuki actor Kankuro Nakamura V (later Kanzaburo Nakamura XVIII) in 1981, then succeeded to his father's stage name in 2011. While working as a kabuki actor, he has taken part in many television dramas and films. The casting was decided by recommendation by Shun Oguri, who was cast as Gintoki Sakata.

26-year-old Yagira won the Best Actor Award at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival by his performance in
Hirokazu Koreeda's Nobody Knows, when he was just 14. He recently starred in the live-action drama
adaptation of manga artist Kazuhiko Shimamoto's semi-autobiographical manga series Aoi Honoo as
the protagonist Moyuru Honoo.

23-year-old Yoshizawa is best known as Ryusei Sakuta/Kamen Rider Meteor in the 13th Heisei Kamen
Rider series Kamen Rider Fourze (2011-2012).
