Two new magical girls join the existing franchise cast.
As you may recall, some astute fans did a bit of digging around a countdown site and figured out that Yuki Yuna Is a Hero (and all its related materials) might be the next series to get a smartphone game. Well, the countdown came to an end, and it looks like the fans were right:
The upcoming Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Hanayui no Kirameki (YuYuYui for short) looks like it will be bridging the storylines of Yuki Yuna, Washio Sumi, and Wakaba Nogi... while also adding some new faces.
The trailer depicts what look to be turn-based battles and 3D-rendered cut scenes, and teases full voicing by the shows' voice actresses. In addition, there will be two new Christian Era heroes joining the team.
Sekka Akihara: Voiced by Sayaka Senbongi (Mumei, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress)
A hero from Hokkaido. A second-year in middle school, bright and sociable and with many friends. She is always smiling, but behind her smile, she is always thinking about something.
Natsume Kohagura: Voiced by Nozomi Yamamoto (Moka Suzuki, Wake Up, Girls!)
A Hero from Okinawa. Tall, dark, and a little scary to those who don't know her, she's actually quite sweet and gentle. Though she's naturally reticent, she will always help those who need it.
The game will contain an original storyline, and is offering a SR Washio Sumi card as a prereg bonus:
YuYuYui is expected to launch this spring.
